First some background on Mailbox Monday — I started Mailbox Monday (MM) way back when. Back when so far I can’t even remember the date but I’m sure another blogger that tracks those kind of details could tell ya. Anyway MM has been around a while now and I needed a change from hosting every week. When I announced that July ’10 would be my last month hosting MM I caused a minor ruckus with loyal posters and players. Knowing the commitment to that goes into posting consistently every week I didn’t want to saddle another blogger with MM. So the Mailbox Monday Blog Tour was created. Beyond my wildest expectations it booked out through the end of 2011 in 24 hours!

Some things to know if you want to or are hosting:

HAVE FUN!! Hosting MM is all about having fun.

Do Not Panic: Life happens and there’s not a darn thing you can do to stop it from getting in the way sometimes. So if for any reason you can’t host you’re not to fret, hyperventilate, get in a tizzy, rush around in circles or wonder how to tell me. I’m your built in backup and can host any month, even those when I’m sitting beach side with the ocean waves calling to me. Wi-Fi & mini laptops are marvelous things. Just let me know and we’re good.

There is no right or wrong way to host MM. When its your month do as you please. You don’t have to host like I did. We’d all be a pretty boring group if hosting didn’t change from blog to blog. If you want to use Mr. Linky for your visitors and need help just let me know. I think it’s a breeze once you’ve done it but that may not be the case for everyone.

Yes you can host more than one month. Just play nice and leave a few months open for others.

Lastly : As MM is now moving monthly please be sure to include the next month’s stop in your last MM post. I will be sending the current month’s host an email with next month’s details. If you don’t get the email you can always stop by here and get ‘em. The MMBT will also a have spot on my blog’s right side bar.

And dang it if I’ve forgotten something you want or need to know use the contact form below to drop me a line. Currently tour stops are booked out through December of 2011 so I’m taking names for a wait list. You can use the contact form to add your name.
