Takin’ it easy…
We’ve all been here at one time or another. Too much computer time and blogging adds up to sore hands and wrists. Mine have gotten to that point, again. My paying job requires 10 hours a day of computer work. Then I play on my laptop nightly and weekends some times for hours. At the risk of being banned from my laptop and blog, by the Doctor, I’m taking a bit of a self imposed break. Mailbox Monday, Cover Attraction and By the Chapter will still post. Ponderings (my form of a book review) and other miscellaneous book related posting will slow down to a trickle. I’m thinking of it as taking a summer vacation! Curious what I’m reading or what I’ve just finished check out the side bar.
Enjoy the time off! I have problems with my wrists, too. Always need to plug in my ergonometric keyboard to my laptop. Hope things to feel better soon.
Oh, sorry to hear you’re in pain. Take care of yourself.
Hope that the rest gives you some relief Marcia!
I hope this well-deserved break gives you the relief that you need.
I did want to let you know that I bestowed the “enchanted” award to your blog today.
Have a great first weekend of the summer!
Sorry to hear your wrists are causing you trouble. Boy those loungers on the beach you posted sure do look appealing, don’t they?
I’ll miss you Marcia but it’s more important you take care of yourself. Enjoy some sun and reading time.
Enjoy yourself – take lots of time to lounge, hopefully with a good book! =)
Sorry to hear about your health. I was in that situation this past winter. I had to have steroid injections. I was taking a typing class also. Luckily it is over and now I can take care of my hand. But I am still going some dull aches and pain.it. I went to a doctor this past month. The doctor told me I had to have surgery if I had to have another injection . That forced me to search for another doctor. We will see what happens. But I hope you will feel better soon.
Oh, please do take a rest! My sister got carpel tunnel syndrome for all of the hours she logs on the computer for work. It is painful and hard to reverse. Take care of your hands and wrists. There are some products out there that can help you feel more comfy at your keyboard, too, so invest in one or two if they can help. My sister uses a gel pad under her wrists when she is using a desktop at work. Also, rotate your wrists regularly when you type, giving them a stretch break. I hope you feel better soon!
Good for you for being proactive. That is a wise choice! Read and relax and rejuvenate!
